Dusty Reads #15

Dusty Reads is a meme hosted by Giselle from Expresso Reads, featuring a book which has been staying at my bookpile for a long time.

The Lost Heroes by Rick Riordan

Summary from Goodreads :
Jason has a problem. He doesn’t remember anything before waking up in a bus full of kids on a field trip. Apparently he has a girlfriend named Piper and a best friend named Leo. They’re all students at a boarding school for “bad kids.” What did Jason do to end up here? And where is here, exactly?

Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for three days, ever since she had that terrifying nightmare. Piper doesn’t understand her dream, or why her boyfriend suddenly doesn’t recognize her. When a freak storm hits, unleashing strange creatures and whisking her, Jason, and Leo away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood, she has a feeling she’s going to find out.

Leo has a way with tools. When he sees his cabin at Camp Half-Blood, filled with power tools and machine parts, he feels right at home. But there’s weird stuff, too—like the curse everyone keeps talking about. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist that each of them—including Leo—is related to a god.

Join new and old friends from Camp Half-Blood in this thrilling first audiobook in The Heroes of Olympus series.

I really really loved Percy Jackson series and was sooooo excited while I heard it would soon have a spin off with new characters, related to the last prophecy. Moreover, the story sounds really intriguing, consist teenagers who lost their memories and a different type of gods, this time is Roman's. But because of my easily-distracted self, I haven't read this book yet, instead I read some books I got later. I need to spare time to read this, before I got The Mark of Athena =x.
Anyone is Riordan's fan? What do you think about this book?
What's your Dusty Reads this week? =D

  2. I loved Percy Jackson! I've read this book but not the sequel. I had it from the library but never had a chance to read it. I still really want to read the sequel because this book ends with a bit of a shock!
