Dusty Reads #9

Dusty Reads is a meme hosted by Giselle from Expresso Reads, featuring a book which has been staying at my bookpile for the longest.

Evernight by Claudia Gray

Summary from Goodreads :
Bianca wants to escape.

She's been uprooted from her small hometown and enrolled at Evernight Academy, an eerie Gothic boarding school where the students are somehow too perfect: smart, sleek, and almost predatory. Bianca knows she doesn't fit in.

Then she meets Lucas. He's not the "Evernight type" either, and he likes it that way. Lucas ignores the rules, stands up to the snobs, and warns Bianca to be careful—even when it comes to caring about him.

"I couldn't stand it if they took it out on you," he tells Bianca, "and eventually they would."

But the connection between Bianca and Lucas can't be denied. Bianca will risk anything to be with Lucas, but dark secrets are fated to tear them apart . . . and to make Bianca question everything she's ever believed.

U.S cover :

I took a long time to buy Evernight, because some hesitation of othe vampire series and I already had too many books at my TBR list. But my curiosity took over and I bought this at the end. And yet I haven't read it yet after several months =p Maybe I'll read it after I finish Hunger Games series.
Have you read Evernight? What do you think about it?

  2. o0o0o0o I've read this one. Not to put you off but I thought it was a bit meh. But I have friends who stuck with it (weren't as lazy as me) and they say it got a lot better later on! And of course the new book is coming out :-)

  3. I would definitely finish the Hunger Games series before starting Evernight. I didn't like it that much (if you never get around to it, you're not missing anything.) I did hear it got better later on too, so you may want to try it! Happy reading :)

    Thanks for visiting my blog!
